How to Add Additional Packages to Synology NAS

There are many programs available for a Synology, such as NANO and Python, not shown in the DSM package center. These instructions show how to add the SynoCommunity to the package center on your NAS. Programs from the SynoCommunity install automatically although some may require payment.
Login to DSM and select Package Center. When it opens select Settings.
Select Package Sources then check the Enable desktop notification box and Synology Inc. and trusted publishers radio button. Then select OK.
Select the Add button and then select OK.
A blank add window opens where you can enter the package site to be added.
Enter the source name and the source URL as shown below, then select OK.

When finished go to the package center and scroll down the left column. At the bottom select Community and additional packages for Synology are shown.
